Days 5, 6, and 7: Multiple Songs

it's been a busy week. however, i'm still back with a few songs to make up for me missing a few days.. enjoy!

Day 5: Got Nothing For Ya - Gladie

this one has been.. on repeat every day for the past two months. if spotify wrapped was actually accurate and counted past mid-november, this would probably be my top song. listen to it here :)

Day 6: Kill V. Maim - Nenagenix (cover)

a cover of one of Grimes' best singles,  Nenagenix's Kill V. Maim brings a new life to the song. between the rockier instrumentals and absolutely sick opening synths, it's just awesome. listen to it here.

Day 7: Hardware Software - Allie X

one of the shorter tracks from her new album, hardware software is also one of my favorites. listen to it here.

Day 4: "Nothing's Still Something" by Herly Berly

 i first discovered this lovely band through.. a spotify ad, the one time i didn't skip it. and i love it. once i listened to the whole song, i was blown away. this song, and this band, is truly awesome. listen to it here.

Day 3: "Vowels = space and time" by Grimes

 day three!! our pick for today is grimes' track "vowels = space and time" from her 2012 album visions. the synth-y bass lines are a standout, along with her fairy-like vocals. i thoroughly enjoyed the lyrics too; below are some of my favorites.

Day 2: "Unpaid Intern" by Bo Burnham

 a 50-ish second jazz banger from his 2021 netflix special "inside," "unpaid intern" is about, well.. being an exploited unpaid intern. burnham weaves humor and social commentary into a catchy tune. the song's lyrics expose the impossible expectations often faced by young professionals. his unique blend of comedy and music shines through in this track, making it a standout in his discography. listen to it here.

Day 1: "Scott Get The Van, I'm Moving" by Cayetana

few songs are able to capture that experience of moving, leaving, and general change. however, cayetana's  2014 single "Scott Get The Van, I'm Moving" expresses that perfectly, and for that, it begins this 25-day journey of songs. listen to it here.
